AS Cement, one of the biggest cement producers in Turkey with the 8.500
tpd capacity of clinker line has started in 2008 and total capacity has reached
12.000 tpd, started to produce Oil Well Cement according to the API Spec 10 A type
“G” HSR standards. AS Cement has invested about $1 million for the quality and process
control of its Oil Well Cement project. A contract for 2.500 mt Oil Well Cement
from Turkish Petroleum Association (TPAO) has been obtained and the company will
provide now cement for all oil wells in Turkey . A trail export party to Kuwait
has been already sent. AS Cement is planning to export at least 50.000 mt of Oil
Well Cement in 2010 and now the negotiations with several oil well operators are
going on. The company’s total export sales turnover will be $120 million during
this year.
