PDPA (Law No. 6698) Clarification Text
As AS ÇİMENTO, we place the utmost importance on the security of your personal data.
With this awareness, as AS ÇİMENTO, we highly prioritize the processing and protection of all personal data belonging to individuals associated with AS ÇİMENTO in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act ("PDPA"). Fully aware of this responsibility, in our capacity as the "Data Controller" as defined under the PDPA, we process your personal data as described below and within the limits prescribed by the legislation.
1. Collection, Processing, and Purposes of Processing Personal Data
Your personal data may vary depending on your relationship with our Company and may be collected verbally, in writing, or electronically through automatic or non-automatic methods, via our Company's departments, website, social media platforms, mobile applications, and similar channels.
Your personal data may be processed and updated as long as your relationship with our Company continues.
The collected personal data will be processed within the scope of the conditions and purposes of personal data processing specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the PDPA for purposes such as performing the necessary work by relevant business units to enable you to benefit from our Company's services, ensuring the legal and commercial security of our Company and individuals in business relations with our Company, determining and implementing our Company's strategies, and executing our Company's human resources policies.
2. To Whom and for What Purposes Processed Personal Data May Be Transferred
Your collected personal data may be transferred to our business partners, suppliers, legally authorized public institutions, and private persons within the scope of the conditions and purposes of personal data processing specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the PDPA for purposes such as performing the necessary work by relevant business units to enable you to benefit from our Company's services, ensuring the legal and commercial security of our Company and individuals in business relations with our Company, determining and implementing our Company's commercial and business strategies, and executing our Company's human resources policies.
3. Method and Legal Basis for Collecting Personal Data
Your personal data is obtained in any verbal, written, or electronic medium for the purpose of providing our services within the framework of the above-mentioned purposes and ensuring that our Company can fully and accurately fulfill its contractual and legal obligations. Your collected personal data may be processed and transferred within the scope of the conditions and purposes of personal data processing specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the PDPA.
4. Rights of Personal Data Owners Under Article 11 of the PDPA
As personal data owners, if you submit your requests regarding your rights to our Company through the methods set out below, our Company will process your request free of charge within at most thirty days depending on the nature of the request. However, if a fee is stipulated by the Personal Data Protection Board, the fee set by our Company will be charged. In this context, personal data owners have the right to:
- Learn whether personal data is being processed,
- Request information if personal data has been processed,
- Learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are used in accordance with their purpose,
- Know the third parties to whom personal data is transferred domestically or abroad,
- Request correction of personal data if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed,
- Request the deletion or destruction of personal data,
- Object to the occurrence of a result against the person himself/herself by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems,
- Request compensation for damages in case of damage due to the unlawful processing of personal data.
In accordance with Article 13, paragraph 1 of the PDPA, you may submit your request to exercise your above-mentioned rights to our Company in writing or by other methods determined by the Personal Data Protection Board.
