Product: Portland Cement
Standard: TS EN 197-1:2002
Product Description
Portland cement is a product obtained by mixing and grinding raw materials such as limestone, marl, clay, iron ore, pyrite ash, and bauxite in appropriate proportions, followed by firing the mixture to produce clinker. This clinker is then ground together with a setting regulator (typically gypsum). When mixed with water, it hardens over time and gains strength.
It is generally used in structures requiring high strength, in concrete cast in cold weather, in prefabricated structures, in tunnel-form applications, in the production of construction chemicals, and in foundation concrete applications.
